Originally commissioned in 1976 by New York City recordist Rhoda Weber, former member of the board of directors of the American Recorder Society. This is the revised version from 1992. Scored for five bass recorders. Strongly influenced by the flute ensamble tradition of the Gidole people of Ethiopia. Unique instructions included within the performance suggestions.
