"The Bird" gets its name from Mozart's opera 'The Magic Flute.' There is also a jazz solo in bebop style that pays tribute to Charlie Parker. "The Donkey" movement references a Greek folk song about a donkey. Improvisation is encouraged. Intended for soprano and alto recorders.
